A Bumper Year at Rodos Park

Have we really got through another year already? In the blink of an eye 2025 is here! So, we thought we’d like to give you the chance to reflect with us on an exciting and successful 12 months at Rodos Park. It’s a period in which we proudly continued to be a beacon for high-quality hospitality experiences on Rhodes; never forgetting, of course, our abiding maxim to keep Filoxenia at the heart of everything we do. In fact, 2024 has been quite a story; hosting big name guests, conferences with delegates from all over Europe and gastronomic experiences and generally ensuring that Rodos Park is a name always on your lips, our cherished guests, as well as those of the people who work within the industry itself.

A Bumper Year at Rodos Park

Shaping the future together

Back in April 2024, we hosted a conference in partnership with South Aegean Region entitled “EU Tourism: Resilience in the Era of the Climate Crisis”. Here at Rodos Park, we care deeply not only about the wonderful nature around us, which goes a long way to creating our ambience, but the future of our planet as a whole. This is why we were so pleased to see a strong attendance at what was actually the first Pan-European meeting of HOTREC, the Association of Hotels, Restaurants and Cafés in Europe. To underline the importance of the gathering, included on the VIP guest list was none other than our own Prime Minister, Kyriakos Mitsotakis; the Governor of the South Aegean, Giorgos Hatzimarkos and the President of the Hellenic Chamber of Hotels, Alexandros Vassilikos.

Early autumn treats

In September 2024, it was the turn of Greece’s favourite, ‘Nomad Chef’ Andreas Lagos, to come and treat our guests to some of the culinary craft which he regularly displays to his avid viewers. In collaboration with our own Executive Chef, Konstantinos Vasileiou, he staged a two-day gastronomic delight, which went down very well with all the diners! In many respects, it was just as much a celebration of local producers and culture as a taste experience, as Andreas was keen from the outset to fully embrace traditional local recipes and use local produce and PDO products from Rhodes and the wider Dodecanese region.

Satisfied guests all round!

Also in September 2024, we were graced with the presence of another public figure and once again from the world of politics, Nikos Androulakis. Of course, it was a real honour for us to have first the Prime Minister earlier on in the year and then the leader of one of Greece’s main opposition parties taking advantage of what we offer to all our guests. We are happy to say there were no complaints from either of them! In fact, Mr. Androulakis chose our conference room to deliver a key political speech on Rhodes.

A grand history

We round off our review with a visit in October 2024 from the Prince and Grand Master of the Sovereign Military Hospitaller Order of Saint John of Jerusalem, Rhodes and Malta, His Most Eminent Highness Fra’ John Dunlap. Along with Culture Minister of Culture, Lina Mendoni inaugurated the new historical exhibition, “From the Ioannites to the Knights of Malta”, housed in the crowning jewel of Rhodes, the magnificent Palace of the Grand Master. We were overjoyed that Fra’ Dunlap, the current incumbent of the title, chose Rodos Park at which to stay for the first visit by a Grand Master in 500 years! We like to think that this decision was fitting given the connection between us and the palace since our foundation in 1960. The palace itself adds a dream-like quality to the island, standing in stoical vigil over the Medieval City at its feet and our premises have always drawn artistic and spiritual inspiration from it. In a 1995 renovation, architect Stelios Dimou incorporated elements of the Old Town and palace into the hotel’s design, highlighting our bond with the local community, its history and rich sense of multiculturalism.

So, it has been something of year for Rodos Park. To paraphrase our CEO, Aris Soulounias, our special love and affinity for Rhodes and its people lift us to ever greater heights of Filoxenia at Heart. In 2025, you too can experience our five-star hospitality, our architecture merging seamlessly with the mystique of the Old Town, our natural setting as well as our 75 luxury suites and elegant rooms – with tow renovated ad brand new room types – Superior Double Room and Premium Deluxe Double Room, two restaurants, three bars, lounge, Wellness Spa, gym and outdoor pool.

From our heart to yours, book here for 2025!
