A Rodos Park Retrospective
2025 Through the Eyes of the Guests
In the words of the great John Lennon; ‘Another year over, a new one just begun’. So, as is the custom, it’s time now to reflect on all the good things that came with 2025 before we turn our attention to the next twelve months. As time rolls by here in Rhodes and at Rodos Park, the legend grows stronger and richer, along with our commitment to hosting you in a way that brings you the very best of our enchanting location. But enough of what we’re about! In this year’s review, we are putting you in the driving seat. With the story of 2025 through your eyes, based on genuine comments and testimonials you’ve shared about us.

Never giving up
As ever, it has been a year with its own distinctive character, not least for the successful collaboration with Alma Zois in October on the Breast Cancer Awareness Pink Ribbon initiative.‘Awesome work!’; the verdict of Patricia, perfectly encapsulated the feelings of everyone involved. We joined those who have fought or are fighting off cancer, and many coping with the tragic loss of loved ones, in sending a clear message that we mean to triumph against this awful scourge. Throughout the month, all the beautiful positivity, spirit and energy, buoyed by rapidly advancing medical knowledge, was fully on display for all to see.

Your ruminations on our renovations
Another highlight was our extensive renovation activity. This included our Superior Double Rooms and Premium Deluxe Double Rooms, and we are glad to say that it didn’t go unnoticed. Julia enthused about her recently renovated room being ‘extremely beautiful and bright’. Wanni from Toronto was impressed by her sizeable and recently refurbished room with its new carpeting, view of the ancient ruins, and complimentary plate of fruit, Mastiha and assorted treats. Chantal from the Netherlands, Geoffrey from South Africa, Benedikt from Germany, Minnie on Expedia, and Tony E on TripAdvisor were similarly enamoured by a whole variety of features encompassing stylish, classic interiors; beautiful décor; clean, comfortable rooms; ‘dreamy’ beds and the general aura of style and elegance.

That’s entertainment!
The Galaxy Rooftop Lounge Bar and the enticing offer of candlelit dinners under the stars lost none of its usual pulling power in 2025. Plenty of plaudits also went to all the Restaurants and Bars and the musical performances on offer throughout the year. Marie-Louise P, for one, thought all the artists were wonderful; and then there are the stories of honeymoons treasured forever, like that of proud father, Jamie, on Expedia. EefG on TripAdvisor, posted rave reviews and recommendations of the Mexican Nights. By all accounts, the fun factor always registered a resounding 10, with the chance to enjoy authentic South American recipes as well as unveil some extraordinary dance moves that you probably never thought you had in you!

A partnership in good taste
When it came to supreme culinary endeavours, of course, it was the team of Konstantinos Vasileiou and Andreas Lagos who once again stole the show. Back together for the second year running with even more exceptional epicurean exploits, they delved deeper into the local and Aegean scene to get their creativity back to boiling point and beyond. But this time, let’s hear it from the experts themselves. Clearly, Konstantinos felt a tremendous sense of pride in how well their refinement of last year’s formula resonated with the guests, while Andreas regarded the greatest gift of their partnership as ‘the realisation that gastronomy is…a space where people, their stories and their values take centre stage’. Naturally, he credited Konstantinos and his team of chefs for their outstanding efforts and all the enjoyment he shared with them.

Relax! Everything is taken care of.
Appreciation of the facilities came in a chorus of congratulations gravitating firstly around our spotless pool area, where, according to Cheryl, the scent of jasmine followed you everywhere. You all loved the calming ambience and neat, relaxing green spaces around it as well. Talking of relaxation, our Wellness Spa continues to garner high praise. Annie Smorawinska, for instance, had a super pedicure and calming head massage, unreservedly acclaiming all the ladies there and the range of treatments they performed. The quality of the food invariably got the thumbs up, especially the ‘incredible’ breakfast buffet, for which some, like Ludwig 343 and Benedidikt from Germany, provided the most poetic of descriptions. While it was definitely a case of ‘location, location, location’ for a vast majority of you, with that leisurely 15-minute stroll into the heart of the historic old town a particular delight, what was also significant was how our skillful staff with local knowledge created a natural, seamless bridge from Rodos Park to, as Louise R on TripAdvisor puts it, ‘all the key places on the island’, and gave JFM from Belgium ‘the chance to experience Rhodes in very different way’.

The staff of legend!
Priding ourselves principally on our hospitality, we are overjoyed that so many of you single out our staff as crucial to your experience. Without them, none of the other joys of the hotel and the island would move you in quite the same way. Any quick browse will have you tripping over words like accommodating, cordial, discreet, exceptional, fantastic, friendly, helpful, lovely, top-notch, welcoming, wonderful; and talk of everyone with a permanent smile across their face. JudyP commented on feeling ‘pampered and valued’ in an atmosphere that was ‘classy without being stuffy’ and EefG wittily observed that there were no ‘stiff rakes or butlers’ in sight. Many echoed the sentiments of Caswell from the UK, John from Australia, Ludwig343 from Germany and Menelaou from Cyprus who said that staff couldn’t do enough, were always going out of their way, even to the extent of checking throughout the day that every need was being met and every wish fulfilled. Paul M was just plain ‘blown away’ by the attentiveness and hospitality. Particular acclaim was reserved for our Restaurant Manager, Evangelos Badis. Referred to as ‘a lovely gentleman’ by Paulpmplumbing and Tony E as the ‘spirit of the hotel’, Evangelos is dedicated to your absolute comfort and happiness, very touched, and typically embarrassed, that he is receiving such recognition.

A bit special
Safe to say, most of you have had the time of your lives at Rodos Park in 2025, pointing out its uniqueness and irresistibility and placing it around the summit of your best hotels list. One guest, now into his tenth year of visits, said that it never disappoints. Suzanne T from Capetown enjoyed the ‘quiet, unassuming’ tenor as opposed to the ‘sprawling corporate beach’ and Dudley 2410 lauded the contrast to a large impersonal hotel. Many it seems basked in a ‘peaceful, leafy haven’, insulated from the hectic world outside. Hallo divined ‘good spirits’ during her ‘perfect stay’, perhaps not surprising if you consider Doug’s more down-to-earth assessment that it is perfectly natural that ‘beautiful, wonderful people make a brilliant hotel’.
Even Arnold Schwarzenegger would agree.
But let’s leave the last words to Karen from Booking.com:
‘We’ll be back!’
So, excuse us now as we head off to prepare for you ALL to be back for more elegance and sophistication, mixed with fun and surprises in 2026.
